FAQ

What counts as a 'robot'?

A robot is a project that produces motion for a purpose. (Decoration is a purpose!) That includes things such as robotic hands/arms, board games that play themselves, even custom 3D printers or CNC machines!
What is not included, however, would be devboards, hackpads, and other PCB dependant projects.

How does this work?

First, make a project & track it with either Lapse or journalling in an .md file.
Next, submit it to our group of experienced reviewers who will either send it back with feedback or, if it looks good to be built, we'll award you with a number of a currency called cogs!

What are 'cogs'?

Every time you're finished designing a project & getting a review from us, you'll be awared cogs based upon how long you spent on it, how polished it is & how expensive it is.
Then, you can tranfer those cogs for a grant to buy the parts to build your project in real life. Or, if you already have the parts you need, you can spend those cogs on buying parts for other projects! Or possibly even in a shop...
